Job Description

 We currently have a multiple full-time openings for CLINICAL SPECIALIST.  We are looking to fill roles in the following regions: (1) North East and Great Lakes; (2) West and South Central; and (3) South East.  If you are looking for a fast paced environment where you can make a difference every day, then this is the opportunity for you!  This position is responsible for partnering with the Breg sales force to drive results for Breg’s key products by providing clinical support, product education and training, and promoting awareness of Breg products to Breg customers. S/he will provide training through various methods including but not limited to formal presentations, group training classes, field training programs, customer visits, and virtual web-based training. S/he will also work closely with the Product Manager and Commercial Team leaders to ensure Breg sales representatives and sales management are properly trained on key products and are capable of selling key products to core customers, from the acute care setting to general orthopedic clinics, in order to drive results.

Your day will be very busy…

  • Partners with sales representatives and sales leaders on customer visits and educational programs to promote, train, and educate customers on Breg’s products and services, including fitting techniques and patient education, as well as fitting braces on patients during field visits within a given geographic region.
  • Supports the Product Manager in the preparation of the sales team to successfully sell Breg’s products and services across the entire orthopedic industry, including GPO, IDN, orthopedic clinics, and acute care settings.
  • Delivers training based on a curriculum designed to advance the knowledge of the sales team in the areas of clinical perspective, product features and benefits, service and selling skills to world class levels that will enable the sales teams to maximize revenue potential.
  • Provides consistent and effective product training and support to drive increased knowledge in the sales force and subsequently achievement of company sales directives and goals.
  • Gathers and analyzes data and feedback relating to the effectiveness of training from Breg customer care, individual sales representatives, sales management, and Distributors. Supports the Product Manager in designing and implementing changes to curriculum based on analysis of feedback and data.
  • Identifies strengths and weaknesses of individual sales representatives and provides written evaluations of clinical knowledge, sales acumen and product knowledge as well as recommendations and action items for improvement.
  • Acquires and maintains strong knowledge and understanding of the organization's products, services, customers, competitors, and sales techniques, as well as a thorough understanding of alternative therapies and a strong clinical knowledge of the orthopedic industry, trends, and procedures.
  • Coordinates sales and product training needs with the Product Manager in conjunction with Commercial Team leaders and provides an effective continuum of instruction and information for sales representatives and other members of the commercial team as needed.
  • Demonstrates leadership and individual accountability in working cross-functionally with sales, quality/regulatory, finance, marketing, and other departments including other training departments to help ensure company goals and objectives are met or exceeded.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Biotechnology, Medical Engineering, Nursing, physical therapy, Life Sciences, or another related field required.
  • Additional degrees or certifications are strongly preferred, including Physical Therapy, Athletic Trainer, Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant, Certified Orthotic Fitter, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience with sales related training to include in-person classroom training, field based training and online training preferred.
  • Experience working in hospital or other clinical environments, including fitting and applying braces is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working for or with a product manufacturer is preferred.
  • Teaching or educational experience is preferred.
  • Sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • Computer proficient to include web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point capabilities. Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems.
