Job Description

The Senior Manager of Channel Marketing and Strategy will have direct responsibility and leadership for defining the channel strategy and channel marketing strategies for Cardinal Heath’s Channel Partner Groups (CPG). This includes creation and strategy of channel optimization, customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, positions, promotion, and branding. Highly visible role as revenue transacted through these specific programs exceeds $2B annually. Directly lead and develop a team that supports and enables the execution of all these programs.


Essential Function:

This person will be able to translate market and customer needs into clearly defined strategies, goals, objectives, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business. Ability to gain and drive cross functional support from all stakeholders.



  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of defining partner engagement programs (segmentation, value propositions, engagement models, strategic programs).
  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of identifying and interpreting data to offer recommendations for the development of channel marketing strategies.
  • Identifies and remains current on market trends.
  • Coordinates with the product team to recommend product category focus and identify successful channel partners.
  • Conduct annual Voice of Customer (VOC)
  • Coordinate with the sales team to establish detailed marketing, business, and channel plans
  • Optimize Channel Strategy and distribution network
  • Assess channel performance/effectiveness and develop annual operating plans
  • Propose, implement, and manage channel incentive programs activities with partners
  • Develop and execute indirect marketing strategies, messaging campaigns to engage current partners and acquire/new business partners
  • Collaborate with brand teams to optimize channel marketing effectiveness
  • Manage annual marketing spend and coordinate budget reviews
  • Coordinate product training to channel partners

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA preferred
  • 4+ years’ experience, preferred
  • Healthcare Industry experience, preferred
  • Distribution Management Experience, preferred
  • Approximate Travel: 10%-20%
